A new standard for human-made work

Know what’shuman.

Music, books, film and video, graded A to D for how much AI went into them.

More than 50% of new tracks uploaded to Deezer at June’s peak were fully AI‑generated. About 90,000 a day.

You deserve to know.

Standard v0.1 · Draft

One letter. No guessing.

You check the letter in the window before you eat. Now check it before you listen.

  1. Grade A: PureHuman Certified

No generative AI in any creative element.

    A handwritten novel. A live‑tracked album.

  2. Grade B: Human-Led

Generative AI only in support work: research, transcription, subtitles.

    A documentary with AI‑transcribed interviews.

  3. Grade C: AI-Assisted

Humans author the core. AI makes secondary elements, fully disclosed.

An indie film with AI‑extended sets.

  4. Grade D: AI-Generated

AI made the primary work. A human directed or curated it.

An AI‑composed track with human prompting.

Ungraded means no claim was made. Being graded at all is the signal.

How a grade will be earned.

  1. Proof of process.

Every grade will rest on a signed declaration and on provenance captured in the tools creators already use, built on the open C2PA standard.

  2. Audited and revocable.

Random audits and a public revocation registry from the very first certification. A mark that can’t be lost means nothing.

  3. Open to everyone.

The draft standard will be published for open comment. Creators, guilds and critics are invited to shape it.

Questions, answered.

Is this anti-AI?

No. It’s disclosure. Grade D exists on purpose: you get to know, and to choose.

Does autotune or spellcheck count as AI?

Not when it only corrects what you made. Spellcheck, autotune, noise reduction and color correction are fine even at grade A. The grade measures tools that generate new material.

How will grades be verified?

With process evidence: signed declarations with real liability, provenance from creative tools, review of source files and random audits. AI detection will only ever be a tripwire, never the verdict.

What will it cost?

Nothing for audiences. Creator pricing comes at launch, and Founding Creators get their first certification free.
